Getting to Rancho El Palomar is easy. You can fly or drive.

Most of our guests fly commercially to Ciudad Obregon (airport code CEN) which has daily flights from Phoenix, Tucson, Tijuana and Mexico City. We Meet you at the airport and provide taxi service to the ranch for a fee.

Alamos AirfieldIf you're a pilot, you can fly privately right into Alamos. Alamos has its own paved airstrip, 4500 feet long, 150 feet wide and 1100 feet in elevation.

Alamos is about an 8 hour drive from the border at Nogales, Arizona. Take Mexico highway 15 south to Navojoa, then go east for 30 miles. When you reach Alamos, follow the signs to Rancho El Palomar. You will need Mexican car insurance and a permit for your car. These can be obtained at the border.

However you decide to get here, we will work with you to ensure your trip goes smoothly.

Guns, Licenses & Amo
The hunting season in Sonora, Mexico run from the first week in November to the first week in March. Guns can be brought in from the US or arranged through us. To bring in your own guns, paper work and hunting licenses must be taken care of before coming to Mexico. It takes a minimum of 4 weeks to process your paper work so allow plenty of time before your visit. We suggest that you do this with Acosta Hunting Agency, Tel. (520) 885-1601, Fax (520) 885-0650.
